Johnny Depp's career over

Tabloids Claim Johnny Depp’s Career Is Done After He Lost Libel Case, Is The Star Finished?

News media all over the world have set their headlines and claimed that actor Johnny Depp’s career has ended after his lawsuit loss against ‘The Sun‘, but has his acting career really come to an abrupt end?

Depp is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and has been an essential artist in the film industry since the 1980s, his artistic and quirky roles have established him as a rare breed of a performer whose talents coincide with his superstardom.

Since his start in the industry in 1984, even the harshest critics praised Depp at one time or another, however, his recent films have been questionable and not of the standard that Johnny was known for, as a matter of fact, critics have said that he has not been in a ‘Johnny Depp’ film for over 10 years.

In addition to this, his recent loss in the case and the nasty spat between Amber Heard has also been a huge blow to his career but there are many things that the actor still has in his court.

Johnny Depp Still Has A Lot Of Support

The actor has a lot of pedigree and the bad boy persona he cultivated over the years also comes with a lot of respect for his ability in the craft and his gentlemanliness off-the-screen. In fact, the actress has even gotten support from his ex-girlfriends.

Similarly, he also has a lot of followers online, who have come to the actor’s support after his loss.

Talking further about the case, the judge ruled against him and fans have even called the judge biased.

We don’t want to take sides but the fans have come in stronger force for Depp than they have for Amber. This does not mean that Heard has not had her share of passionate support, a lot of people have also said that the actress’s win was a win for all women.

Will Johnny Depp’s Career Continue?

JD has more than 25 projects in production, his projects have become an industry in itself. Due to the recent hit to his career, all of the films that he had lined up have had their future at stake. He had already been apparently fired from his two biggest film franchises, ‘Fantastic Beasts’ and ‘Pirates of The Caribbean’.

However, the reports have never been confirmed and to bring back the argument of him still being a successful actor, he is still filming ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3’. The actor has not said anything about quitting and he has surely not been ‘canceled’ yet.

While JD’s acting skills and talent has never been in question, it is the court ruling and not the one of the judge’s but that of the ‘court of public opinion’. A lot of this hinges on the fact that the Sun can now legally call him a ‘wife-beater’.

Johnny Depp And Amber Heard: What Next?

The actor’s lawyers have said that they will be most likely appeal the decision that the high court made but as it stands, he has lost the case, the tabloids, especially in Britain have said that his career is now over, in fact, some have even run the headline.

Both the stars have remained quiet after the court ruling, and are yet to release official statements.

It may also be right to say that the Depp V Heard saga has not ended, the long-running dispute between the stars seems like one of those celebrity disputes that just keep waiting for another nasty turn.

Since their divorce, they have had a lot of bad blood between them. They have also been attacking each other non-stop but fans hope the saga will come to an end.

In conclusion, Johnny Depp’s career is teetering and if you are to listen to British tabloids it has definitely ended, so take everything you hear with some caution.
